Lumiplan has been at the cutting edge of innovation and continually invests in research to deliver quality live and dynamic information. The strong focus on the ITS category has helped it gain popularity in its primary markets and spread its service offerings.
The Lumiplan history begins in 1972 around a single idea: creating luminous displays (Electronic Information Display systems) to provide information for tourists in ski and seaside resorts.
In 1982, the 'Electronic Information Display offer' extends to the Electronic Newspapers of municipal information.
In 1992, Lumiplan launches its Transport activity and participates in discussions of the European Union on information systems for public transport.
In 2002, Lumiplan includes "Full Color" display solutions in its applications, and becomes the first in the industry to deploy external color screens in France, namely in sports stadiums.
In 2007, Lumiplan takes on the project of Electronic Newspapers in the city of Paris and consolidates its transport offering with the acquisition of the Heurès product, a planning/scheduling solution for public transport design solutions.
At this point, Lumiplan generates a turover of € 10 million and employs 55 people.
In 2008, new acquisition: Lumiplan confirms its strong position in the city with the acquisition of FA Technology, an important player in the segment of dynamic urban display systems.
2009 marks a new milestone: the company reaches its goals and international ambitions by creating subsidiary Lumiplan Asia in Singapore.
In 2010, the Transport branch of the business gets a further boost with the acquisition of Duhamel (Domène 38), the pioneer of embedded communications solutions in public transport.
Lumiplan now employs 140 people and exceeds over 25 M € in turnover.
